Air New Zealand, the national carrier of New Zealand, has recently announced a major investment of NZ$3.5 billion in a new fleet of aircraft. This move comes as the airline bids farewell to its last 777-300 aircraft, which has been sent to Victorville for storage.
The new fleet will consist of eight Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft, which are expected to be delivered between 2022 and 2027. In addition to the new Dreamliner aircraft, Air New Zealand has also ordered five Airbus A321neo aircraft, which are expected to be delivered between 2023 and 2024. These aircraft will be used on domestic and short-haul international routes.
