Capcom Discusses Plans for Resident Evil Village on PSVR 2 and Future Developments

Capcom, the renowned video game developer and publisher, has recently revealed its plans for Resident Evil Village on the upcoming PlayStation VR 2 and future developments. The announcement has sparked excitement among fans of the Resident Evil franchise, as they eagerly await the release of the highly anticipated game.

Resident Evil Village, the eighth installment in the Resident Evil series, is set to be released on May 7, 2021, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, Capcom has now confirmed that the game will also be compatible with the upcoming PlayStation VR 2, which is expected to launch sometime in 2022.

In a recent interview with IGN, Peter Fabiano, the producer of Resident Evil Village, discussed the company’s plans for the game on PlayStation VR 2. He stated that Capcom is “looking into it” and that they are “hoping that we can make it work.” He also mentioned that the team is “experimenting with a lot of different things” and that they are “trying to see what works best for the game.”

This news has been met with excitement from fans of the Resident Evil franchise, as it offers a new level of immersion and gameplay experience. The first-person perspective of Resident Evil Village is already set to provide a more intense and immersive experience than previous games in the series. Adding VR compatibility will take this to a whole new level, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the game’s world and horror-filled atmosphere.

Capcom has also hinted at future developments for the Resident Evil franchise. In a recent financial report, the company stated that it plans to “expand our business by utilizing our library of IP,” including Resident Evil. This suggests that there may be more Resident Evil games in development, or perhaps even remakes of older titles in the series.

The success of recent Resident Evil games, such as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, has shown that there is still a strong demand for the franchise. With the upcoming release of Resident Evil Village and the potential for more games in the future, fans of the series have a lot to look forward to.

In conclusion, Capcom’s plans for Resident Evil Village on PlayStation VR 2 and future developments have generated excitement among fans of the franchise. The addition of VR compatibility to Resident Evil Village offers a new level of immersion and gameplay experience, while the company’s plans to expand its business using its library of IP suggests that there may be more Resident Evil games in development. With the release of Resident Evil Village just around the corner, fans of the series have a lot to be excited about.
