The increase in plugin market share can be attributed to the introduction of new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) by Stellantis, a multinational automotive manufacturer formed by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Group. Stellantis has been investing heavily in EV technology and has launched several new models in the French market, including the Peugeot e-208, Citroen e-C4, and Opel Corsa-e.
These new BEVs have been well-received by French consumers, who are increasingly looking for more sustainable and environmentally-friendly transportation options.
