Isaac Van Wesep Named as the New Chief Executive Officer of Reflection Sciences

Reflection Sciences, a leading provider of executive function assessments and professional development for educators, has recently announced the appointment of Isaac Van Wesep as its new Chief Executive Officer. Van Wesep brings with him a wealth of experience in the education technology industry, having previously served as the CEO of Edmentum, a leading provider of online learning solutions.

In his new role, Van Wesep will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Reflection Sciences, which has seen significant success in recent years with its innovative approach to measuring and improving executive function skills in children. Executive function refers to a set of cognitive skills that are essential for success in school and beyond, including working memory, attention control, and cognitive flexibility.

Reflection Sciences’ flagship product, the Minnesota Executive Function Scale (MEFS), is a game-based assessment tool that measures executive function skills in children as young as two years old. The MEFS has been used by thousands of educators and researchers around the world to identify areas of strength and weakness in children’s executive function skills, and to develop targeted interventions to improve these skills.

Under Van Wesep’s leadership, Reflection Sciences aims to expand its reach and impact by partnering with more schools and districts across the country. The company also plans to develop new products and services that will help educators and parents support children’s executive function development at home and in the classroom.

Van Wesep is excited about the opportunity to lead Reflection Sciences at a time when executive function skills are becoming increasingly recognized as critical to success in school and in life. “I am thrilled to join Reflection Sciences and to work with such a talented team of educators and researchers,” he said. “I believe that our products and services have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of children and families, and I look forward to helping the company achieve its full potential.”

Overall, the appointment of Isaac Van Wesep as CEO of Reflection Sciences is a positive development for the company and for the field of education technology more broadly. With his experience and vision, Van Wesep is well-positioned to lead Reflection Sciences to even greater success in the years ahead.
