This innovative method allows fighter jets to land vertically on the carrier’s deck, even with a heavy payload, enhancing the operational capabilities of the Royal Navy.

The SRVL technique is a game-changer for aircraft carriers as it enables fighter jets to land with a higher payload, reducing the need for fuel jettisoning or diverting to land bases.
