OpenWay Establishes Second Hub in Vietnam to Expand Fintech Presence – Report by Fintech Singapore

OpenWay, a leading provider of digital payment solutions, has announced the establishment of its second hub in Vietnam to expand its fintech presence in the country. The move comes as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in the Asia-Pacific region and tap into the growing demand for digital payment solutions in Vietnam.

According to a report by Fintech Singapore, OpenWay’s new hub will be located in Ho Chi Minh City and will serve as a center for research and development, as well as customer support and training. The company already has a hub in Hanoi, which was established in 2017.

Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia, with a population of over 96 million people. The country has seen a surge in digital payments in recent years, driven by the increasing adoption of smartphones and the government’s push towards a cashless society.

OpenWay’s expansion into Vietnam is expected to help the company capitalize on this trend and provide innovative payment solutions to businesses and consumers in the country. The company’s digital payment platform, WAY4, is already used by several banks and financial institutions in Vietnam, including Vietcombank, Techcombank, and VPBank.

In addition to its presence in Vietnam, OpenWay has a strong foothold in other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. The company’s expansion into Vietnam is part of its broader strategy to become a leading provider of digital payment solutions in the region.

OpenWay’s CEO, Dmitry Yatskaer, said in a statement that the company is committed to supporting Vietnam’s digital transformation and helping businesses and consumers embrace the benefits of digital payments. “We are excited to expand our presence in Vietnam and contribute to the country’s growing fintech ecosystem,” he said.

The establishment of OpenWay’s second hub in Vietnam is a positive development for the country’s fintech industry and is expected to create new job opportunities and drive innovation in the sector. As more businesses and consumers in Vietnam embrace digital payments, companies like OpenWay will play a crucial role in providing secure and reliable payment solutions that meet the needs of the market.
