Talis Ventures III is the third fund launched by Talis Capital since its inception in 2009. The firm has a track record of investing in successful startups such as Darktrace, Onfido, and iwoca. The new fund will continue to focus on investing in disruptive technologies in sectors such as fintech, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

The fund has already made several investments, including in the UK-based fintech company, Curve, which raised €49 million in a Series B funding round led by Gauss Ventures and Creditease Fintech Investment Fund. Talis Ventures III also invested in the US-based cybersecurity company, Snyk, which raised €150 million in a Series E funding round led by Stripes.

Matus Maar, co-founder and managing partner of Talis Capital, said: “We are delighted to have secured such strong support from our existing investors and welcome new investors to the fund. We believe that the current market conditions present a unique opportunity for early-stage technology companies to thrive and we look forward to partnering with the most innovative entrepreneurs across Europe and the US.”

The new fund has attracted a diverse range of investors, including family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional investors. The firm plans to use the funds to invest in 25-30 early-stage companies over the next three years.

Talis Capital has a reputation for being an active investor, providing not only financial support but also strategic guidance and operational expertise to its portfolio companies. The firm’s team includes experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts who work closely with portfolio companies to help them achieve their growth objectives.

In conclusion, Talis Ventures III is a significant milestone for Talis Capital, marking its largest fund to date. The firm’s focus on investing in disruptive technologies in sectors such as fintech, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence is well-aligned with the current market trends.
