First up is UK-based AI startup, Graphcore, which raised $222 million in a Series D funding round led by SoftBank. The round also included investments from Microsoft, Dell Technologies Capital, and BMW i Ventures. Graphcore is developing an AI processor that is designed to speed up machine learning applications. <\/p>\n

Next is German-based mobility startup, Tier Mobility, which raised $60 million in a Series B funding round led by Mubadala Capital. The round also included investments from Goodwater Capital, Target Global, and Speedinvest. Tier Mobility is developing an electric scooter-sharing platform that is currently available in over 50 cities across Europe. <\/p>\n

Another big funding round this week was for UK-based fintech startup, Revolut, which raised $500 million in a Series D funding round led by TCV. The round also included investments from DST Global, Index Ventures, and Ribbit Capital. Revolut is creating a digital banking platform that offers customers access to a range of financial services. <\/p>\n

Finally, there was a $25 million Series A funding round for French-based AI startup, Snips. The round was led by Korelya Capital and included investments from Bpifrance and Kima Ventures. Snips is developing an AI platform that enables users to build voice assistants for their own products and services. <\/p>\n
