Air Canada and CAE, two of the world\u2019s leading aviation companies, have recently announced the eight recipients of the 2023 Captain Judy Cameron Scholarship for Aspiring Women in Aviation. The scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Captain Judy Cameron, who was the first female captain of a commercial airliner in Canada. The scholarship is designed to help women pursue a career in aviation and to promote diversity within the industry. <\/p>\n

The eight recipients of the 2023 Captain Judy Cameron Scholarship are: <\/p>\n

-Kathryn MacKay, a student at the University of Toronto studying Aerospace Engineering. <\/p>\n

-Karen Wiebe, a student at the University of British Columbia studying Aerospace Engineering. <\/p>\n

-Diana Gomes, a student at the University of Alberta studying Aerospace Engineering. <\/p>\n

-Kaitlyn O’Brien, a student at the University of Manitoba studying Aerospace Engineering. <\/p>\n

-Tara Smith, a student at the University of Saskatchewan studying Aerospace Engineering. <\/p>\n

The scholarship will provide each recipient with $5,000 to cover tuition and other expenses related to their studies. The recipients will also receive mentorship from Air Canada and CAE employees and will have access to exclusive networking opportunities. <\/p>\n
