The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently granted approval for a new treatment option for advanced hormone receptor-positive (HR-positive) breast cancer patients. The combination of Truqap (capivasertib) and Faslodex has shown promising results in clinical trials, offering hope to those affected by this aggressive form of breast cancer.<\/p>\n

HR-positive breast cancer is the most common subtype of breast cancer, accounting for approximately 70% of all cases. Furthermore, the combination therapy also showed a favorable safety profile, with manageable side effects. The most common adverse events reported in the trial included diarrhea, fatigue, and nausea. These side effects were generally mild to moderate in severity and could be effectively managed with supportive care.<\/p>\n

The approval of Truqap in combination with Faslodex provides a new treatment option for HR-positive breast cancer patients who have progressed on or after endocrine therapy. This combination therapy offers a targeted approach to inhibit the AKT pathway, which is often dysregulated in HR-positive breast cancer.<\/p>\n
